General
Objectives:
To acquire the requisite knowledge on the philosophy, objectives, structure, staffing, operating policies, and systems and methods, relationships, and problems of various departments/services of a hospital.
Specific Objectives:
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
1. Analyze the philosophy, objectives, structure, staffing, operating policies, systems and methods of the various departments/services of a hospital and relate them to hospital goals and objectives.
2. Describe the roles and relationships of the various departments/services.
3. Identify problems in the management of the departments/services and recommend possible solutions.
4. Discuss the roles and responsibilities of the administrator in directing and coordinating various departments/services.
